How I Practice
Listen first
The first visit is not about prescribing. It's about understanding the full picture, sleep, mood, relationships, work, family, before any treatment plan takes shape.
Integrated treatment
Pharmacotherapy as a foundation, complemented by lifestyle adjustment, psychoeducation, and non-invasive therapies such as rTMS, CES, and tPBM when indicated.
No over-prescription
Mainstream antidepressants are not addictive; sleep medications are reviewed carefully. In most cases, we aim for a proper course of treatment followed by careful tapering, not lifelong medication by default.
Across cultures
Consultations in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. I'm comfortable with the practical and cultural realities expats and international patients face in Taiwan.
